Girraj Singh Malinga: The High Court has rejected the bail plea of ​​former MLA Girraj Singh Malinga, accused of beating AEN and JEN in Bari Discom office of Dholpur. On the petition of AEN Harshadapati, on Friday, the court of Justice Farzand Ali has cancelled Malinga's bail and asked him to surrender in 30 days. The High Court had granted bail to Girraj Singh Malinga 2 years ago due to Corona. Hearing the petition of AEN Harshadapati on Friday, the court admitted that Malinga misused the bail. Due to this, the court cancelled his bail.

Advocating on behalf of Harshadapati, lawyer AK Jain said - Malinga had taken advantage of bail from the court by making an excuse of Corona. As soon as he got bail, he took out a procession. The victim and witnesses in the case were threatened. In such a situation, the bail plea of ​​the accused should be cancelled.

What is the whole matter?

There was an incident of assault on AEN Harshadapati and JEN Nitin Gulati on 28 March 2022 at Bari Discom Office in Dholpur. In the case, AEN Harshadapati had registered a case against Malinga and others on 29 March for assault, obstruction in state work and SC-ST Act. 5 people were arrested in the case.

After the incident, the then Dholpur SP Shivraj Meena was also transferred. After the assault on the engineers of the electricity department, there was anger among the employees of the corporation. The employees of the Electricity Corporation also staged protests at the state level regarding the arrest of Malinga. After this, Malinga, along with the then MLA Rajendra Gudha, reached the CM House and met the then Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot. After that he surrendered.

The High Court itself had granted bail

Malinga surrendered before the then Police Commissioner of Jaipur Anand Srivastava on 11 May. He was produced in the SC-ST court on the afternoon of 12 May. From where the court sent Malinga to judicial custody for 15 days. After which Malinga filed a bail petition in the High Court. The High Court itself ordered Malinga to be released on bail on 17 May 2022.
