Ajmer Sharif Dargah: The matter of violence that erupted after the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal was not yet completely settled that a new legal challenge has come up regarding Dargah Sharif in Ajmer district of Rajasthan. On Wednesday, a petition was heard in the Ajmer court, in which Dargah Sharif has been described as a Hindu temple. This petition has been filed by Hindu Sena National President Vishnu Gupta. The court has accepted the petition and issued notice to the concerned parties and fixed the date of next hearing as December 20.

Hindu Sena's claim

Hindu Sena National President Vishnu Gupta has claimed in his petition that the premises of Ajmer Dargah Sharif used to be a Shiva temple at one time. He said that religious sentiments and social harmony are attached to this issue, and it is necessary to resolve it through the court.

Court action

The court took the matter seriously and issued notice to the concerned parties and asked them to present their arguments in the next hearing. A special book has been cited in the petition, which provides the basis for this claim. According to the book, there was a temple of Lord Shiva on the land of Dargah Sharif earlier.

Mention of the book

The petition mentions a book written by Har Vilas Sharda in 1911. This book claims that there was an ancient Shiva temple on the present land of Dargah Sharif earlier, where Lord Bholenath was worshipped and Jalabhishek was performed. Apart from this, it is also written in the book that the remains of the temple were used in the construction of the 75 feet long Buland Darwaza present in the Dargah complex. It is even claimed that there is a sanctum sanctorum in the basement of the Dargah.

Next hearing on December 20

Now the next hearing of this case will be held on December 20. During this, both the parties will present their arguments and documents. The National President of Hindu Sena has described it as a matter related to the religious beliefs of the Hindu society. However, no official response has been given on this by the representatives of Dargah Sharif so far.

Social and religious discussion

This matter has become a subject of widespread discussion at the social and religious level. After this move of Hindu Sena, reactions are continuing among religious organizations and the general public. All eyes are on the court's decision, because this matter is not only related to religious sentiments, but it can also affect social harmony.
