Maharashtra New CM: Devendra Fadnavis was unanimously elected leader in the BJP Legislature Party meeting in Maharashtra. Central observer Nirmala Sitharaman, Vijay Rupani and prominent MLAs of the party participated in this meeting. Fadnavis thanked the MLAs and the BJP leadership after being elected the leader of the Legislature Party. Devendra Fadnavis will take oath as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra at 5 pm on Thursday. This will be his third term. His name was proposed by Chandrakant Patil, while Sudhir Mungantiwar and other senior leaders agreed to it.

BJP's best performance in Maharashtra

In the assembly elections held on November 20, the BJP won 132 seats, which is its best performance so far in Maharashtra. After an alliance with Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena and Ajit Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), the Mahayuti got a massive majority of 230 seats.
