G-20 Summit: President Draupadi Murmu hosted a dinner party at Bharat Mandapam for the guests attending the G-20 Summit. The guests who arrived here were given a grand welcome by President Draupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on a special stage. The ruins of Nalanda University of Bihar were shown in the background of this stage. The theme of G20 – 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam – One Earth, One Family, One Future' was also highlighted. The ruins of Nalanda University are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. The newly constructed International Convention and Exhibition Center and its lush green 'lawns' were seen glowing with colorful lights at night and its fountains and the statue of 'Nataraja' placed in front of the state-of-the-art building added to the grandeur of the venue. United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Managing Director and President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Kristalina Georgieva wearing Indian traditional dress salwar kurta, World Bank President Ajay Banga and his wife Ritu Banga and Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the newly built convention center at Pragati Maidan. Be among the first to arrive. The G20 summit began at the Bharat Mandapam on Saturday and will conclude on Sunday.
