If we talk about the current financial year, a collection of around Rs 15 lakh crore has been seen. Whereas in the same period of the last financial year, the same collection was Rs 13.40 lakh crore. In the current financial year, an average collection of Rs 1.66 lakh crore has been made. Which saw a collection of Rs 1.49 lakh crore in the same period of the last financial year.

Gross GST revenue in December 2023 is expected to be Rs 1,64,882 crore, out of which CGST is Rs 30,443 crore, SGST is Rs 37,935 crore, IGST is Rs 84,255 crore (including collection on import of goods Rs 41,534 crore). Cess amounts to Rs 12,249 crore (including collection on import of goods amounting to Rs 1,079 crore). The Finance Ministry said that this is the 8th month of the current calendar year and the seventh month of the financial year when the collection is more than Rs 1.60 lakh crore. The revenue for December 2023 is 10.3 percent more than the GST revenue of the same month last year.
