Parliament Session: The government surrounded in Parliament over caste census and population-wise share is now in the mood to retaliate. Many big leaders of the ruling party BJP have taken over its command, the effect of which is being seen from the House to social media. Under this plan, the BJP wants to blunt the edge of the issue by catching the weak nerve of the opposition.

Government surrounded on caste in Parliament

Since the President's address, the government has been surrounded in Parliament on the issue of caste census. The opposition is constantly targeting the government on this issue. The opposition alleges that the government takes the votes of OBCs, Dalits and tribals, but does not give them a share in power.

While giving a speech on the budget, Rahul Gandhi targeted the officers of the Finance Ministry. Rahul said that there is not a single Dalit among the officials of the Finance Ministry who prepared the budget. Rahul was also raising this issue during the Lok Sabha elections.

However, there was a ruckus on Tuesday when Anurag Thakur, who came to speak on behalf of the government, said that those who do not know their caste are demanding a census. SP President Akhilesh Yadav immediately grabbed this statement of Anurag.

Akhilesh asked how can a person ask someone's caste in Parliament? On this statement of Akhilesh, the presiding Jagdambika Pal said that this cannot be asked and we will remove it.

How is the government attacking the opposition?

After the ruckus in the Lok Sabha, the Bharatiya Janata Party has prepared a 3-way strategy to surround the caste issues. Under this-

1. Senior BJP leaders are sharing old videos of Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi, in which they are asking the caste of any person. Anurag Thakur has shared a video of 2023, in which Akhilesh is asking the caste of a journalist during the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections. Actually, the journalist had asked Akhilesh a question about washing the bungalow with Gangajal.

Similarly, BJP's social media in-charge Amit Malviya has shared 2 videos of Rahul Gandhi. In this video, Rahul is asking the caste of journalists. With the help of this video, the BJP leader is defending Anurag Thakur's statement, in which he said in Parliament that he does not know the caste and will get the census done. However, this statement of Anurag was expunged in the Lok Sabha.

On the entire controversy, BJP MP Sambit Patra says that Anurag Thakur has not made any wrong comment regarding caste. Rahul himself has commented on PM Modi's caste. The people of the country are watching everything.

2. BJP also wants to counter the opposition through the core organization of Congress. In the Rajya Sabha, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that Congress should tell how many Dalits and tribals are there in the Rajiv Gandhi Foundation?

The Rajiv Gandhi Foundation was established in the year 1991. Sonia Gandhi is the head of this foundation. The main work of the foundation is to provide ground feedback and organize programs.

3. BJP is attacking BJP by bringing out the statements of old Congress leaders. The ruling party's main target is Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. Mandal Commission's recommendation could not be implemented during the tenure of both the leaders. BJP wants to blunt the demand for caste census on the basis of this fact, so that it does not suffer political loss.

Senior journalist Santosh Kumar, who has been covering BJP for a long time, says- This question will definitely arise that why did the party which was in power for 60 years not conduct caste census? In 2011, the order for social economic survey was given in Manmohan government, but Manmohan government could not release it.

Satosh further says- BJP wants to weaken Congress which is aggressive on caste census by raising this issue. The party does not want to be on the back foot in the House in any way.
