In a letter issued by Deputy Director S. Naval to the Chief Secretary of the Maharashtra government, it has been said that it has been decided to stop the training of Pooja Khedkar, IAS-2023 batch. She should be called back to the academy immediately for further necessary action. The state government is requested to relieve the probationer immediately. He should be advised to join the academy as soon as possible.

Police will investigate Pooja's medical certificate

An official said on Tuesday that the Pune Police will investigate the veracity of the medical certificate given by Pooja Khedkar. Khedkar, an officer of the 2023 batch, had given several medical certificates to UPSC. One of these is of visual disability.

It is alleged that 34-year-old Pooja Khedkar has taken wrong benefits to get the job. She had described herself as Divyang and Other Backward Class. To investigate these certificates, the Chief Commissioner for Disabled Persons Office has written a letter to Pune Police and District Magistrate. Khedkar is also accused of misuse of powers during his posting in Pune.

Fitness certificate was submitted during admission

Pooja Khedkar, who is facing allegations of misuse of powers and disability certificate, had submitted a fitness certificate while taking admission in a private medical college in 2007. There was no mention of any kind of disability, physical or mental, in it.

What was said in the letter?

Pooja's training has been banned by the Maharashtra government. The Additional Chief Secretary of the Government of Maharashtra has written a letter asking trainee IAS Pooja Khedkar to return from Washim district. The letter said that in reference to the letter of the Deputy Director of LBSNAA, you are informed that you are being removed from the District Training Program of the state and sent back to LBSNAA, Mussoorie Training Academy for further action till further orders. You have to report to LBSNAA by July 23 at any cost.

Investigation going on regarding fake certificate

Let us tell you that an investigation is being conducted against IAS Pooja Khedkar regarding fake certificate. The IAS was accused that Dr. Pooja Khedkar obtained a partial 'locomotor disability' certificate from a hospital in Pimpri, Pune district in August 2022. However, Maharashtra Police had said that it would investigate.

At the same time, Khedkar had earlier submitted two certificates provided by Ahmednagar District Civil Hospital in the year 2018 and 2021 to UPSC under the Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) category. Additionally, he had applied for a disability certificate from Aundh Government Hospital, Pune in August 2022, but his application was rejected after the medical test.
