Manish Sisodia: Senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Manish Sisodia on Saturday made a big claim regarding the Delhi Assembly elections. He said that if assembly elections are held in Delhi now, his party can win all 70 seats. During his padyatra campaign in Rajendra Nagar assembly constituency, Sisodia attacked the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and alleged that there was a conspiracy to put him and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal in jail in "fake" cases.

Sisodia said that the support he received during his padyatra campaign makes him confident that if elections are held now, the Aam Aadmi Party can win all 70 seats with 70 per cent votes. The next assembly elections in Delhi are scheduled to be held in February next year. In the last assembly elections, AAP won 62 out of 70 seats, but the party did not get any success in the recent Lok Sabha elections.

"The BJP people were upset with the love and support of the people for me," said Sisodia, who was released earlier this month after spending 17 months in jail in the Delhi liquor scam case. "I came out smiling because I have done nothing wrong," he added. Sisodia claimed that he has come out of jail stronger as the Aam Aadmi Party has maintained unity despite his and Kejriwal's imprisonment.

Sisodia accused the BJP of toppling governments in places like Maharashtra, Uttarakhand and Arunachal Pradesh and trying to break parties by sending Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) against leaders. However, he said that the Aam Aadmi Party is neither broken nor bowed down. He also said that the love and support of Delhiites is Arvind Kejriwal's strength, and he is confident that he will come back soon.
