Income Tax Raid: The Income Tax Department (IT) on Wednesday raided 53 locations across the country simultaneously. These actions have been taken in connection with earning in mid-day meal, tax evasion in political funding and liquor scams. IT raids are going on in 7 states including Delhi, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Uttarakhand. These raids are related to liquor scam, mid-day meal, political funding and tax evasion.Action in the Mid-Day Meal Case in Rajasthan and MaharashtraIncome tax raids have taken place at more than 53 places of Rajasthan's Minister of State, Rajendra Yadav and his relatives. The raids have been going on since around 5.30 am on Wednesday. The matter is related to the disturbance in the supply of mid-day meal. In Kotputli, the factory which supplies mid-day meal ration, is being raided, it is being told of Rajendra Yadav. Apart from his government and private residence in Jaipur, teams are present at some places. In the mid-day meal case itself, Income Tax teams have raided many places in Maharashtra. The information about where these raids have taken place is not clear yet.Tax evasion case in BangaloreAccording to reports, IT teams are present at more than 20 locations in Bengaluru. Action has also been taken against Manipal Group. All these raids are related to income tax evasion. IT had received information in this regard. The teams are yet to reveal much about the action.chhattisgarh steel-liquor trader on targetIn Chhattisgarh, IT has raided the places of some liquor traders. Among them, the name of a liquor businessman is being told as Amolak Singh. Ramdas Aggarwal, his son Anil, have been raided at the house of RK Gupta of Aishwarya Kingdom. This case is related to liquor scam and tax evasion.Action on leader and party in UPIn Uttar Pradesh, the IT raid continues at the residence of Samajwadi Krantikari Party chief Gopal Rai in Lucknow. This case is being told related to political funding and tax evasion.CBI raids 6 locations of Mamta's ministerCBI raids on 6 locations of Mamta government's Law Minister Malay Ghatak on Wednesday morning. Ghatak is accused of coal smuggling. According to sources, 3 teams of CBI are searching 6 places including Ghatak's residence since 8 am. Among them, teams are present at 5 locations in Kolkata and one in Asansol.
