Aditya L1 Mission: Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has once again created history. Today i.e. on Saturday, ISRO has successfully placed its 'Aditya-L1' spacecraft in Halo Orbit at Langres Point 1, about 15 lakh kilometers away from the Earth. Aditya L1 was launched from Sriharikota on September 2 last year to study the Sun. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated ISRO on this achievement on social media platform X.The Langres point is the region where gravity between the Earth and the Sun becomes inactive. The spacecraft will remain in a halo orbit around it and from there it will provide important information related to the Sun to ISRO. The L1 point is approximately one percent of the distance between the Earth and the Sun. The Sun can be seen continuously from satellites in halo orbit. Therefore, staying in this orbit will help Aditya L1 to collect information related to the Sun's activities and its effect on space weather in real time.
What is the main objective of this mission of ISRO?The main objective of this Aditya L1 mission of ISRO is to study the Sun. It will understand the mysteries related to solar earthquakes on the surface of the Sun, activities related to solar flares and weather in space near the Earth. Will record information about the sun's atmosphere. Scientists around the world have not been able to gather much information about the Sun. The main reason for this is the very high temperature of the sun. Due to the temperature, any satellite will burn to ashes before reaching near it.How will Aditya L1 protect itself from the sun's temperature?State-of-the-art heat resistant technology has been used in Aditya L1 developed by ISRO. Special coating was done on its outer part which will protect it from the intense heat of the sun. Along with this, a strong heat shield has also been installed in it which will protect it from high temperatures. Many other equipment have been installed in it to protect from the sun's temperature. Why is L1 point special?L1 point is also special because whenever there is any change in the activities of the Sun in space weather, it is visible at this point before it impacts the Earth. In such a situation, this information can prove to be very important for scientists. Aditya L One will also monitor the space environment near the Earth, due to which the space weather forecast model will prove to be very important.India creates yet another landmark. India’s first solar observatory Aditya-L1 reaches it’s destination. It is a testament to the relentless dedication of our scientists in realising among the most complex and intricate space missions. I join the nation in applauding this…
