Ashok Siddharth: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo and former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati took an important political decision on Sunday. She removed her nephew Akash Anand, who is considered her successor, from all the posts of the party. With this, Mayawati made it clear that as long as she is alive, she will not have any successor. Mayawati clearly said that Ashok Siddharth is responsible for ruining the political career of Akash Anand.Who is Ashok Siddharth?Ashok Siddharth was once counted among the prominent leaders of the Bahujan Samaj Party. He had close relations with Mayawati, due to which he was sent to the Rajya Sabha on a BSP ticket. For BSP, he took charge in states like Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Odisha.Ashok Siddharth was born on 5 February 1965 in Farrukhabad district of Uttar Pradesh. His father was close to BSP founder Kanshiram. For this reason Ashok Siddharth also joined the party and started working for the organization. Being a confidant of Mayawati, he was entrusted with many important responsibilities.Expulsion from the party and controversyRecently, a controversy arose over the wedding of Ashok Siddharth's son. Mayawati was angry that only selected leaders were invited to the wedding. After this, she expelled Ashok Siddharth from the party on charges of factionalism. Now Mayawati has also removed Akash Anand from the posts and made it clear that she will not tolerate any kind of indiscipline in the party.BSP's way forwardAfter this development, many questions have arisen regarding the leadership in the Bahujan Samaj Party.
