In this way, the accused gang-raped more than 100 college girls one after the other. During the gang rape, the accused used to take nude photos of the girls. 'Pornographic photograph blackmail scandal'

There were 18 accused in this entire case, out of which 9 have been convicted. The decision has come today regarding Nafees Chishti, Salim Chishti, Sohail Ghani, Zameer Hussain, Iqbal Bhati and Tarzan. The court gave its verdict after the arguments of the prosecution and the defense were completed. This entire scandal was named 'Pornographic photograph blackmail scandal' 32 years ago. In this case, Anwar Chishti, Farooq Chishti, Parvez Ansari, Moinullah alias Puttan Allahabadi, Ishrat alias Lalli, Kailash Soni, Mahesh Ludhani, Shamshu Chishti alias Maradona and Tarzan were arrested.

This was the whole case

The then president of Youth Congress in Ajmer, Farooq Chishti, his friend Nafees and his henchmen used to target college girls. They used to call girls to farmhouses and restaurants in the name of parties and then gangrape them after drugging them. After this, the accused used to take their nude pictures. In the name of nude pictures, the accused used to blackmail the girls and pressurize them to bring other girls with them. In this way, one after the other girls got trapped in their clutches.

18 victims had given statements

Before the case was revealed, some girls mustered courage and went to the police, but the police only recorded the statement and put the case in cold storage. On the other hand, the accused started threatening the girls who gave statements. The effect of the accused roaming around openly and then threatening was that those girls never went to the police again. However, later 18 victims gave statements against the accused in the court. The rest of the girls went underground.

Photos leaked from color lab

The 'pornographic photo blackmail scandal' was exposed from a color lab in Ajmer. When some pornographic photos kept there were leaked and discussions started in the city. When the police registered a case and started investigating, this scandal was revealed. More than 100 girls were raped in the pornographic photo blackmail scandal. The mastermind of this entire scandal was the then Ajmer Youth Congress President Farooq Chishti, Nafees Chishti and Anwar Chishti. There were many other accused with him.

This is how the series started

To carry out their disgusting intentions, these people targeted the girls of a reputed college in Ajmer. One of these accused, Farooq Chishti, first trapped a minor girl there in his love trap. Then he took her to his farm house on some pretext and raped her there. After raping the girl, the accused took her nude pictures with a reel camera. After this, the accused pressurized the victim to bring her friends there too and then the series of brutality started.

One after another, girls became victims

The helpless girl, fearing that her obscene pictures would be leaked, was forced to push her friend into this quagmire as well. One to two, two to three and so on, who knows how many innocent girls were raped by these brutes and their nude pictures were taken. After this, they started calling everyone to different places by blackmailing them and made them victims of their lust. According to the information, the number of girls who were victims in this case was more than 100. These girls used to go to farm houses in front of the eyes of their families. Vehicles used to come to pick them up and also to drop them back. According to Dainik Navjyoti, it was not that the police did not get a clue about this case, but because this case could take a communal turn and the situation was very bad at that time, the police was also afraid to take action in this case.

Victims started committing suicide

Gradually the whole city came to know about this scandal. Obscene pictures of the girls started going viral. According to the newspaper, after the pictures went viral, many other people also blackmailed these girls. After being blackmailed by so many people and having to bear all this alone, one by one the girls started committing suicide. In this way, after the suicide of 6-7 girls, the matter became serious. Similarly, the obscene picture of a girl floating in the air reached Santosh Gupta, a journalist of Dainik Navjyoti newspaper. Seeing the picture, Santosh was shocked. He decided that he would get to the bottom of this matter.

This is how the matter was revealed

He tried to talk to the students but the students were not ready to come forward. However, gradually after reassurance and persuasion, the students also showed courage and came forward and registered a case. Santosh used his newspaper and printed the news of this scandal on the front page. As soon as he did this, there was an uproar in the whole of Ajmer. Santosh started a series on this case and his news started putting pressure on the police and administration. Along with the news, Santosh also published obscene pictures of the girls in which only the faces of the accused were visible so that the sexual abuse of the girl students could be seen with open eyes. Then, there was an uproar in the whole of Rajasthan and people came out on the streets.

Investigation started after pressure from all sides

After the case came to light in this way and was suppressed, finally on 30 May 1992, amidst pressure from all sides, Bhairon Singh Shekhawat handed over the case to CID CB. After this, Ajmer Police also registered a report in this case and investigation was started. In this investigation, the names of criminals named Youth Congress city president Farooq Chishti, vice president Nafees Chishti, joint secretary Anwar Chishti, Almas Maharaj, Ishrat Ali, Iqbal Khan, Salim, Zameer, Sohail Ghani, Puttan Allahabadi, Naseem Ahmed alias Tarzan, Parvez Ansari, Mohibullah alias Maradona, Kailash Soni, Mahesh Ludhani, Purushottam alias John Wesley alias Babna and Harish Tolani came to light.

Verdict came after 32 years

After questioning the victim girls and identifying the accused, the police arrested eight accused. The first verdict of this case came after six years, in which the Ajmer court sentenced eight people to life imprisonment. After some time, the court reduced the sentence of four accused. They were sentenced to ten years in jail instead of life imprisonment. After this, the Rajasthan government challenged this order in the Supreme Court, which was rejected by the court. After a long wait of almost 32 years, finally the culprits in this heinous crime were sentenced, which the families of the victims had been waiting for so long. Holding 6 out of the remaining 7 accused guilty, the special court of Ajmer sentenced them to life imprisonment and a fine of Rs 5 lakh.
