This victory has shattered Royal Challengers Bangalore's dream of making it to the playoffs. The victory of the defending champions was celebrated in Mumbai, as Mumbai qualified for the playoffs with Bengaluru's defeat. Gujarat won the toss and elected to bowl at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. Batting first, Bengaluru scored 197 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs. Gujarat achieved the target of 198 runs for 4 wickets in 19.1 overs.
