Around 600 trains across the country were canceled on Monday due to the Bharat Bandh in protest against the Agneepath scheme. According to the Railways, a total of 595 trains were canceled due to this protest. These included 208 mail and 379 passenger trains. Apart from this, four mail and six passenger trains had to be partially cancelled.

Youth Congress members stopped a train at Delhi's Shivaji Bridge during the Bharat Bandh on Monday. After this these people climbed on the coaches and started pressurizing the government to withdraw the Agneepath Recruitment Scheme.

On the other hand, schools were closed in Jharkhand today and additional police force was deployed here to restore peace. In Haryana also all coaching centers in Jhajjar and Mahendragarh were closed.
