New Delhi: The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has said, vehicles will no longer have to wait more than 10 seconds at the toll plazas of National Highways (NH). For this, the authority has issued guidelines. Following these instructions from NHAI can be relieved by the long wait at the toll plaza.

Toll waived on queues over 100 meters

The National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has said that vehicles will not have to wait more than 10 seconds at the toll plaza even in peak hours. There will be no queue of vehicles longer than 100 meters at the toll plaza. If there is a queue longer than 100 meters at the toll plaza for any reason, then vehicles will be allowed to pass the toll plaza without paying toll tax.

This yellow line will be at every toll

According to the new rules of NHAI, a yellow line will be drawn at each toll plaza to show a distance of 100 meters. This will be done at every toll plaza of the country. This is being done to determine the accountability of toll plaza operators, NHAI said. According to NHAI, 100 percent cashless tolling has been done since February 2021. Keeping in mind the growing electronic toll collection (ETC) in the country, an efficient toll collection system will be worked out over the next 10 years.
