The police had reached JDA Circle to nab Lovely, who was absconding in the case of attempt to murder. During this Lovely tried to run away. After being surrounded from all sides, Lovely started firing on the police. In retaliation, he collapsed.

When the police reached the JDA circle to arrest Lovely, he donated a gun to the constable. This left the constable behind. Then the miscreant fled after running the car. From JDA circle, ran towards Digadi via five light intersection. Ratanada SHO Leela Ram followed him in his personal vehicle. Behind him were police Chetaks and other vehicles. After being surrounded a little further, Lovely started firing. The police surrounded him near Digadi Pulia. Here Lovely started firing. In retaliation by the police, the miscreant was injured and died in the hospital. A police inspector was also injured in the firing.
