Parliament Session: PM Modi raised the issue of Sandeshkhali and women in Rajya Sabha. PM Modi said, 'The incident that happened in Sandeshkhali, whose pictures are spine-chilling, but the words of the big leaders whom I have been listening to since yesterday, do not reflect pain. What can be a bigger picture of shame than this?'

PM Modi said, 'Those who consider themselves progressive women leaders have also shut their mouths, because the incident is related to the party or state associated with their political life.' PM said that I am not speaking against any state nor am I speaking to score any political points.

Woman beaten up in public in Bengal: PM

PM Modi said, 'Some time ago, I saw some pictures from Bengal on social media. A woman is being beaten up in public on the road there, that sister is screaming. The people standing there are not coming to her help, they are making videos.'

The PM said, 'It is the misfortune of the country that when politics is done on sensitive issues, the countrymen and especially women suffer unimaginable pain. This selective attitude of the opposition towards the atrocities against women is worrying.'
