PM Modi in Shahdol: Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the Sickle Cell Anemia Eradication Mission in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh. During this, he said that today the country is taking a big resolution to save the lives of lakhs of people. The tribal society will get its benefit. Sickle cell anemia is a serious disease. It can have a carrier even without any external symptoms.Targeting the previous Congress governments, PM Modi said that but it is unfortunate that in the last 70 years it was never worried. No concrete plan was made to deal with it, but our government has now taken up the task of solving this biggest challenge of the tribal society. For us tribal society is not just a government figure, it is a matter of sensitivity for us, it is an emotional matter.Sickle cell anemia disease is geneticThe PM said that this disease also scatters families. This disease is genetic, that means this disease comes in the child from the parents only. I have spent a long time among the tribal society in different areas of the country. Disease like sickle-sec anemia is very painful. Half of its cases in the whole world are in our country alone.PM Modi says that when he became the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time, he has been making efforts in this direction even before that. As soon as he became CM, he started many campaigns related to this. He said that this campaign to get rid of sickle cell anemia will become the main mission of Amrit Kaal. He has full faith that when the country will celebrate 100 years of independence i.e. by 2047, we all together will run a mission mode campaign to free our tribals and the country from this sickle cell anemia.PM sought help from Japanese scientistsPM Modi said that when he went on a visit to Japan after becoming the Prime Minister, he had met a Japanese scientist who had done deep research in sickle cell anemia. He also sought help from them. The most important thing in fighting this disease is to get tested. Many times patients do not know for a long time that they are suffering from this disease.
