Rajasthan / SUV derails on track in Rajasthan, hit by train; video surfaced

A video from Jodhpur (Rajasthan) has surfaced in which a goods train is seen hitting an SUV stuck on the track. According to reports, to avoid toll tax, the driver had taken another route and put the SUV which was stuck there. However, before the accident, everyone in the SUV got off from it.

Jodhpur: In dramatic visuals that have been caught on camera, a vehicle was hit by a speeding goods train in Phalodi area in Rajasthan's Jodhpur. According to local media reports, the driver of the vehicle chose to take a shortcut in order to skip paying the toll.

The visuals of the incident were shared widely on social media. The video showed a white Bolero vehicle hit by a speeding goods train. The vehicle reportedly got stuck on the train track and could not be moved from the spot for a prolonged duration.

According to reports, the passengers of the SUV were not in the vehicle when it was hit by the train. No death or injury has been reported in the incident.

Three days ago, in a separate incident, a goods train accident took place due to the fall of a carriage on a railway bridge near Nigaura railway station near the Chhattisgarh border. The train was travelling from Bilaspur to Katni. Last week, in yet another mishap, three wagons of a goods train derailed near Mulund Railway station. The train was travelling towards Mulund in Mumbai when the incident took place. 

No injuries were reported in the incident. "Soon after the incident was reported, the work of realignment of the wagons was carried out and was completed in a couple of hours. The traffic on the goods yard has now been restored, Chief Public Relations Officer of Central Railway, Shivaji Sutar said after the incident.
