The accident took place on the Lucknow-Ayodhya highway on Tuesday morning near Kotwa road of Ramsnehighat Kotwali area. On Tuesday morning, Rajendra (32), a purva resident of Panai in the police station area, was coming from the cold store of Barabanki in a mini truck to supply ice in the area as usual.

To clear the snow at a dhaba near Kotwa road, the vehicle was stopped on the service lane of the highway. During this, Durgesh (14), a resident of Thorthiya village, who sells ice, was getting the snow off with his cousin Jai Narayan (15).

Meanwhile, a speeding uncontrolled container coming from Lucknow side hit the parked pickup strongly from behind. The collision was so strong that the pick-up collided with a tree while dragging about two and a half hundred meters away from the spot.

In this accident, Rajendra, who was giving snow and Durgesh and Jai Narayan, who were buying ice, died painfully on the spot. The police reached after getting information about the incident and sent the bodies of the three dead for post-mortem. The container (truck) driver fled from the spot leaving the vehicle.

As soon as the information was received, there was chaos in the house of the teenagers. Kotwal Vinod Babu Mishra told that three including two cousins ​​have died in the accident. Action is being taken by sending the body for post-mortem and registering a case.
