Raigad: In Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh, an alcoholic has beaten his wife to death for delay in serving food. Police arrested the accused husband and sent him to jail on judicial remand. Khalbora is a resident of the area, where Lalit Manjhi, who used to drink alcohol, often quarreled and beat his wife.

On the night of 25 March, he came home after drinking alcohol. After which he asked for food from his wife Phoolmati. Phoolmati took a while to serve the food and on such a matter, the accused started beating him. The accused beat Phulmati so much that he died.

Neighbors gave information to police

On the morning of 26 March, when people nearby saw the corpse of Phoolmati lying in the courtyard of the accused's house. After which he immediately informed the police. Police reached the spot and captured the body and arrested the accused and sent him to jail.
