John Kirby, National Security Council Coordinator for Strategic Communications at the US White House, said he could not confirm the claim that the US had given India any intelligence about China. 'US News' had claimed that with the help of intelligence already given by the US Army, India was able to give a befitting reply to China's intrusion into the high altitude border area last year.

According to the claim, the US government had already informed India about China's position in Arunachal Pradesh and the strength of its security forces. The information provided by the US included satellite images of preparations and action taken by China. Along with this, detailed information was also given, on the basis of which the Indian Army took action.
