Bhole Baba's lawyer AP Singh told reporters in Kasganj that he (Bhole Baba) has reached his ashram and will stay here. He has come here from the ashram only. He has never gone to anyone's house, hotel or any other country. He said that Kasganj is the birthplace of Baba and he last came here for a day in 2023 and before that he came here in 2013.

121 people died in stampede

121 people died in a stampede after the satsang of self-proclaimed Baba Surajpal alias Narayan Sakar Hari alias Bhole Baba in Sikandrarao area of ​​Hathras on July 2. The state government has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and a judicial commission to investigate the incident. Baba's name was not included as an accused in the case registered in the stampede case. The SIT did not rule out any major conspiracy behind the stampede in its report submitted to the state government last July.

The SIT report also pointed to lapses on the part of the local administration. The report blamed the organizers for the stampede and claimed that no arrangements were made to control the crowd. Sources said the local police and administration did not take the event seriously and failed to provide proper information to senior officials.
