Rajasthan News: 9 crore 31 lakh 50 lakh 373 rupees will be recovered from the head master and his wife who used dummy teachers in their place and taught in the school for 20 years. The ex-officio Panchayat Primary Education Officer (PEEO) of the Education Department has registered a case against the husband and wife in Baran Sadar police station on Tuesday. The accused couple is still absconding. This is probably the first such case in Rajasthan in which such a huge amount will be recovered. PEEO Anil Gupta said - Head Master Vishnu Garg and his wife Manju Garg were posted in Government Primary School Rajpura near the city for about 20 years. The husband and wife were not teaching the students in the school themselves but were keeping dummy teachers in their place.

This act of these teachers was caught about 6 months ago. The police and the education department had also arrested three other teachers teaching here.

However, the matter was hushed up by only stopping the increment. After the BJP government was formed in Rajasthan, the education department tightened its grip on the husband and wife.

The husband and wife absconded fearing their arrest. In this case, Education Minister Madan Dilawar had also given a statement that strict action will be taken against such teachers, which will set an example in Rajasthan.

The Education Department will recover an amount of Rs 9 crore 31 lakh 50 thousand 373 from the husband and wife. Rs 4 crore 92 lakh 69 thousand 146 will be taken from Vishnu Garg and Rs 4 crore 38 lakh 81 thousand 227 from Manju Garg.

An FIR was lodged in Sadar police station by PEEO Gupta regarding the recovery. However, in this case, District Education Officer Piyush Kumar Sharma says that its investigation is going on at the Directorate level.

Sadar police station CI Chhuttan Lal Meena said - Police is investigating the matter.

They used to draw a salary of 1.5 lakh, kept 3 teachers for 15 thousand

The accused teacher couple used to draw a salary of more than 1.5 lakh rupees from the government every month. The husband was the head master in this school and his wife was a teacher. They had hired 3 teachers for 15 thousand rupees.

The matter was revealed after complaining to the SP

Apart from the accused husband and wife, another female teacher was working in the school. There are more than 60 children in the school. Someone had complained about this by writing a letter to Baran SP Rajkumar Chaudhary in December 2023. When the investigation was done on the instructions of the SP, the whole matter came to the fore.
