Lok Sabha Election Result: Ajit Pawar has taken responsibility for the poor performance of Nationalist Congress in Lok Sabha elections 2024. After the election results came out, Ajit Pawar held a meeting of the ministerial team on Thursday and then a meeting of the legislative party in the evening. The election results were discussed in these meetings. After the meeting, he said that Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena has got good seats, they have got 50% seats. On the poor performance of NDA, he said that this is not the first time that parties have split in Maharashtra. In 1978 also, parties had split in a similar way, even then Maharashtra knew this. That is why whenever there is defeat, people say that this is the reason for the defeat.

Ajit Pawar said that this time the slogan of 400 paar was raised everywhere, but the opposition party said that why do they want 400 paar, because they have to change the Constitution. Because of this, instead of thinking too much about what happened now, it is better that we do not make old mistakes again, we have to learn from them and move forward. He said, "Today Sharad Pawar is right in saying that he knows Baramati more than me."

Why did the vote share decrease?

Ajit said, "The talk of changing the constitution has distanced the backward class from us. The minority community was standing in line since 7 am to vote. This never used to happen before. The minority started feeling that they are going to be thrown out of India, such news was spread. What has happened is not right. We will try to correct it. If our allies in the Mahayuti take some decision as soon as possible, we can get a good victory in the assembly. Today I talked to all the MLAs, everyone said that we will stay with you and will remain in the party, this is a family and we have to take this family forward."

I take responsibility for the election results

Ajit said, "The Pawar family is our internal matter and we do not need to bring it in front of the media. As far as the Nationalist Congress Party is concerned, I accept responsibility for whatever results have come in the elections. Who will hold the reins of the country on the 4th? By evening it was clear that the NDA got the majority but the numbers did not reach the expectations. If we talk about the performance of the Nationalist Congress, then we are not happy with this performance. I take responsibility for this performance. We proved to be weak somewhere. I accept responsibility for that. This morning also I held a meeting of the ministers of the Nationalist Congress. In this meeting, there was a discussion on why the election results were like this. We are seeing in the media that our opponents are constantly spreading that our MLA is in touch with them, but this is not the case at all." Surprised by Baramati results

The NCP leader said, "I am surprised by the results of Baramati. I don't even know that I have been working in Baramati for the last several years. I have been an MP and MLA from Baramati. Baramati has always supported me, but why did the people of Baramati not support me? After all, in democracy, the people's order has to be accepted. We will go to Delhi (Friday) morning and have called a meeting of all the NDA constituents there and in Delhi, we three Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde will sit and discuss some issues, but I want to say that we have to understand the reasons for our defeat and move forward by correcting them and not repeat those mistakes. The results were not good because of me, so I don't blame anyone else, it will be our job to correct the mistakes that were made. I will be able to know what was lacking in Baramati only after discussing with the people of Baramati, because we won in Baramati but the enthusiasm that should have been seen in the rural areas in all the talukas was not seen. "

Chandrakant Patil's statement had an impact

"The issue of constitution was related to the centre. I kept telling women that the constitution will not be changed, but an MP from the ruling party would give a statement somewhere and it would reach Maharashtra through social media and people would discuss the statement. Today we have Nationalist Congress Party, if an MLA makes a statement, it does not mean that the entire party has the same opinion, it does not happen. People did not like BJP minister Chandrakant Patil coming to Baramati and saying that I have come to defeat Pawar, and the result was seen."
