Lok Sabha Election Result: Narendra Modi will take oath as Prime Minister on Sunday to form the government for the third time at the center. Meanwhile, there is a stir in the Congress camp as well. This time the Congress party is going to play its role as a strong opposition. There is a meeting of party MPs of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on Saturday evening. In this meeting, Sonia Gandhi can be re-elected as the President of the Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP). Also, in this meeting, a demand can be raised to give a prominent role to party leader Rahul Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi can be made the leader of the opposition. Rahul Gandhi has won the Lok Sabha election from both Wayanad and Rae Bareli seats in Kerala this time.

Congress won the most seats among the opposition parties

Rahul Gandhi should be made the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha. For this, party MPs including KC Venugopal, Manikam Tagore and Gaurav Gogoi are expected to raise this demand by raising their hands in the Congress meeting to be held this evening. The leader of the Congress in the Lok Sabha will be the leader of the opposition in the House, because the party has won the most seats among the opposition parties in the Lok Sabha elections.

Party sources said that it will depend on Sonia Gandhi whether she decides to name Rahul Gandhi as the leader of the party in the Lok Sabha or selects some other leader. There is little hope of any decision on this issue right now. Senior Congress leader Sonia Gandhi and party president Mallikarjun Kharge will give their opinion on this later through a press release. Sonia Gandhi is currently a member of the Rajya Sabha. Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge is the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha.
