Lok Sabha Election Result: Janata Dal United leader KC Tyagi made a big statement on Thursday saying that the government needs to review the Agniveer scheme. However, he clarified that this is not a condition to support the government but the government needs to think in a new way about the Agniveer scheme. Tyagi said, 'A section of voters is angry about the Agniveer scheme. Our party wants that the shortcomings on which the public has raised questions should be discussed in detail and removed. As the national president of the party, the CM has written a letter to the Law Commission chief on UCC. We are not against it but a solution should be found by talking to all stakeholders.'

Tyagi also spoke on caste based census

On caste based census, KC Tyagi said, 'No party in the country has rejected caste based census. Bihar has shown the way. The Prime Minister also did not oppose it in the all-party delegation. Caste based census is the need of the hour. We will take it forward. There is no pre-condition in this. There is unconditional support. But Bihar should get special status because this issue is in our heart.
