Ayodhya Ram Mandir: Every Hindu is eager to see the grand temple being built in Ayodhya, but have Hindu religious leaders themselves boycotted this ritual of life consecration? Let us tell you that after boycotting the inauguration ceremony of Ram temple, Congress has started a new controversy. It is alleged that BJP is conspiring to divide Hindus by not inviting Shankaracharya for the consecration program. Senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh is alleging that BJP has hijacked Ram Lalla and made the inauguration of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya a political arena. He said that Shankaracharyas are being insulted and that is why Shankaracharyas have refused to come to this program.

Why is Shankaracharya not coming?

Digvijay Singh said, "Who are the religious leaders of our religion?" Is Shankaracharya our Guru or not in this country? Why don't we listen to Shankaracharya? Should we accept Champat Rai as our religious leader or should we accept Narendra Modi as our religious leader? Shankaracharya ji clearly refused that the work of the temple should be done in our traditional way…you do not believe in our Vedic tradition. The way you are doing, we are not ready to come to your temple.

'When the temple is completed...we will have darshan'

Let us tell you that whatever Digvijay Singh said, Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand of Jyotirmath Peeth of Joshimath also said the same thing. He also said that the entire program being held in Ayodhya is political because an attempt is being made to take electoral advantage by inaugurating the half-completed temple. Along with this, Avimukteshwaranand said that a new temple is not being built in Ayodhya, the already existing temple is being renovated. Now the question is whether the four Shankaracharyas are really angry with the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla, are they really not coming to Ayodhya? Before knowing the answers to these questions, know how many Shankaracharyas there are in the country and what is their importance.

How many Shankaracharyas are there in the country, what is their importance?

Adi Shankaracharya is considered to have played an important role in the propagation of Sanatan tradition and Hindu religion. Keeping this in mind, four Shankaracharya Maths have been established in four corners of the country.

• Govardhan Math in Puri, Odisha whose Shankaracharya is Nischalananda Saraswati.
• Sharda Math in Dwarkadham in Gujarat whose Shankaracharya is Sadanand Saraswati.
• Jyotirmath in Badrikashram, Uttarakhand, whose Shankaracharya is Swami Avimukteshwaranand.
• and the Sringeri Math in Rameshwaram, South India, whose Shankaracharya is Jagadguru Bharati Tirtha.

When the controversy over not going to Pran Pratishtha increased, statements came out from Sringeri Sharda Peeth and Dwarka Sharda Peeth in which the opposition to Pran Pratishtha was clearly refuted. In the letter issued by Sringeri Sharda Peeth, such propaganda was termed as wrong propaganda of anti-religionists and it was said that after 500 years, the celebration of Ram Lalla's death is going to be held with grandeur. Shankaracharya of Sringeri Peeth appealed that all the believers should become the recipients of the blessings of Lord Shri Ram by participating in this most sacred and rare life consecration.

'No opposition, but I will not go'

Similarly, a message was also given from Sharda Peeth that no statement has been given regarding Ram Janmabhoomi. In the statement, Shardapeeth said that this dispute has ended after about 500 years. This is a happy occasion for Sanatanis. Shardapeeth wishes for the proper completion of Ramlala's life consecration. After this, Shankaracharya Nischalanand Saraswati of Puri's Govardhan Math also said that he will not go to the ceremony to be held in Ayodhya. But at the same time he also said that he has no problem with the consecration of Ramlala's life, it is a big work of Hindu religion. They just want that the worship should be done as per the rituals and according to the scriptures.

'Congress is creating controversy in the name of Shankaracharya'

It is clear from the statements of Shankaracharya that the temple is not the reason for Ayodhya not being included in Pran Pratistha because they have no problem with the construction of the temple. VHP Working President Alok Kumar also said that no Shankaracharya had opposed the construction of Ram temple, hence, the controversy that Congress is creating in the name of Shankaracharyas is meaningless. Even though big leaders of Congress are boycotting the inauguration of the temple by using Shankaracharya's reason for not going to Ayodhya as an excuse, there is opposition to this decision within the same Congress. Many leaders are raising questions on this decision of the high command, that is why all the BJP leaders are calling Congress anti-Hindutva and anti-Sanatan.
