Nakhat Singh Bhati: Havildar Nakhat Singh Bhati, a Barmer jawan who was martyred in Arunachal Pradesh, was given a final farewell on Thursday. At the cremation ground in Harsani village, the martyr was cremated by his seven-year-old son Shaurya. During the funeral, thousands of people, including Collector Nishant Jain and SP Narendra Singh Meena, were present to pay tribute to the martyr's martyrdom. Amidst mixed feelings of grief and pride, the entire area echoed with slogans of "Nakht Singh Amar Rahe".The body of Nakhat Singh reached the village in the afternoon, where his wife Priyanka Kanwar's health suddenly deteriorated and his brother Ummed Singh's heart-wrenching outrage came to the fore. While taking the martyr's body from Jaliapa Military Station to his native village Harsani, slogans of Bharat Mata ke Jai were raised at various places along the route and flowers were showered.On Bhati's return home, the outpouring of emotions of his family was painful. In particular, tears in the eyes of his younger brother Ummed Singh and the deep grief of his wife Priyanka were evident. His autobiography remained incomplete at the martyr's home, as he was dreaming of building a house and getting his brother married during his leave. The news of his martyrdom deeply shocked the family, and this sad information was hidden from Priyanka.On the occasion of the funeral, the entire village paid tribute to the martyr. It included MP Ummedram Beniwal, Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati, Chohtan MLA Aaduram Meghwal, District Collector Nishant Jain, Superintendent of Police Narendra Singh Meena, BJP leader Swaroop Singh, and other important personalities. This farewell not only shows respect for a soldier, but also highlights the deep pain of a family and unity of the community.On seeing the mortal remains of martyr Nakhat Singh at home, his brother Ummed Singh started crying bitterly. Shiv MLA Ravindra Singh Bhati was consoling him. During this, Bhati's eyes also became moist.
The dream remained unfulfilledBhati had come to Barmer in April on a month's leave. During this time, he had got the foundation of his house filled. He had a dream of building his own house. Before returning to duty, he had told his mother and wife Priyanka Kanwar that next time he would take a two-month leave. He would build a house and get his younger brother Ummed Singh (24) married. The dreams remained unfulfilled. He had talked to his wife on the phone the night before his martyrdom. On Tuesday, his wife tried calling throughout the day, but the call did not connect. The family members had come to know about the martyrdom, but they kept it hidden from Priyanka (wife).People gathered to bid farewell to the martyrA crowd of people gathered at the cremation ground in Harsani Talai, about 500 meters away from the martyr's house.
