State Cancer Jaipur / Cancer patients will not have to run 17 km for therapy

State Cancer Jaipur: For the first time in the capital, cancer therapy facility will be available at the government level outside Sawai Mansingh Hospital. The State Cancer Institute at Pratap Nagar will be the second center in the government sector, where this therapy will be given. Work orders have been issued for setting up a linear accelerator machine in the institute with private participation. And the second machine will be installed after a few months. Instructions have also been given to the private partner to initiate the process of permission from Bhabha Atomic Center for the therapy. Patients currently undergoing treatment at the State Cancer Institute have to run to Sawai Mansingh Hospital, 17 km away, for therapy. By installing the machine there, patients will be able to get all cancer related treatment facilities under one roof.

Work order has been issued to the concerned private participant for setting up the first linear accelerator machine. Permission of Bhabha Atomic Research Center is required to start the machine. This permission process will also be completed by the concerned private partner.

Only two machines...waiting will be less

Sawai Mansingh Hospital currently has two radio therapy machines, but there is a lot of pressure on them to check patients. However, after the treatment of cancer patients in private hospitals is easy and free under the Chiranjeevi Bima Yojana, there has been some relief. Waiting can end after this investigation starts in Cancer Institute also. It is being told that both the SMS machines will continue to function as before. Here also the machines were installed under private participation.
