Delhi Assembly Elections: The alliance between Aam Aadmi Party and Congress has broken in the capital Delhi. Aam Aadmi Party has made it clear today that it will contest the Delhi Assembly elections alone. The alliance with Congress was done only for the Lok Sabha elections. Actually, today Aam Aadmi Party had called a meeting of MLAs. After this meeting, Delhi convenor Gopal Rai said that there will be no alliance with Congress for the Delhi Assembly elections. Delhi Assembly elections are going to be held in early 2025.

AAP-Congress alliance's crushing defeat in Delhi

Congress and Aam Aadmi Party had formed an alliance in Delhi for the Lok Sabha elections. Aam Aadmi Party had fielded candidates on four out of seven seats in Delhi and Congress on three. But like 2019, this time also BJP's flag was hoisted on all seven seats and both the parties could not take any advantage of this alliance.

AAP will contest Delhi Assembly elections alone

Now after the results of the Lok Sabha elections came out, today Aam Aadmi Party announced to break the alliance. In the meeting of Aam Aadmi Party, it was decided to break away from the alliance with Congress. AAP has decided that it will fight the Delhi Assembly elections alone.
