Bikaner / Due to the heat in Bajju, a fierce fire broke out for 3 km

Hundreds of trees standing on the banks of the Indira Gandhi canal in Bajju, Bikaner, caught fire on Sunday. The fire is so strong that it can reach up to three kilometers in a short time. The cause of the fire is believed to be high heat. The fire is between RD 923 to 930 of Indira Gandhi Canal.

Actually, the forest department has planted trees on the banks of the canal. On one side of the canal, these trees, which are lined all the way, are catching fire one after the other. The fire was detected around 3 pm. Forest department and canal department officials reached the spot. Later Bajju police also arrived. Bikaner Fire Brigade was informed as there was no fire engine in Bajju. Three fire brigades arrived from there. By then the fire had spread for three kilometres.


Around one thousand trees have been engulfed in this fire on the banks of the canal. By 4 pm, two fire engines and about half a dozen water tankers reached the spot. Bajju police and forest department are trying to douse the fire.
