Suryakanta Vyas: Former MLA and senior BJP leader Suryakanta Vyas, popularly known as Jiji in Jodhpur, passed away on Wednesday morning. 87-year-old Suryakanta Vyas was ill for a long time and when her health suddenly deteriorated at 7 am today, she was taken to Mahatma Gandhi Hospital (MGH), where she breathed her last at 7.15 am during treatment.Jiji's journey in politicsSuryakanta Vyas started her political journey as a councilor and contested the assembly elections for the first time in 1990 from Jodhpur's old city constituency.
