In fact, the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act states that "Hyderabad in the existing Andhra Pradesh state will be the joint capital of the State of Telangana and the State of Andhra Pradesh for a period of 10 years from the appointed date (2 June)." It states that "after the expiry of the period specified in sub-section (1), Hyderabad will be the capital of the State of Telangana and there will be a new capital for the State of Andhra Pradesh." At the same time, the state of Telangana was formed on 2 June 2014 after the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Bill was passed in Parliament in February 2014. The demand for the formation of Telangana state was being made for decades.

Telangana occupies government buildings

Revanth Reddy had last month asked the officials to take possession of buildings like the Government Guest House Lake View in Hyderabad after June 2, which were given to Andhra Pradesh for a period of 10 years. Meanwhile, the Telangana government had sought to discuss issues related to the division in a cabinet meeting, but it could not happen.
