Rajasthan University: Student leaders have opened a front against the government for the demand of student union elections in Rajasthan. In Jaipur, on Friday, students of Rajasthan University performed a yagya for the wisdom of the government. After this, the protesting students started protesting on JLN Road by locking the VC Secretariat. The police team dispersed the students using mild force. More than 6 students have been injured in this entire action, while 5 students have been taken into custody by the police.

Rajasthan University student leader Mahesh Chowdhary said that students across the state have been waiting for the student union elections for a long time, but the government is not announcing the dates for the elections. The students were protesting peacefully regarding this, but the police unnecessarily lathi-charged the students and beat them, which will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that if the government does not announce the date of student union elections soon, the youth power of Rajasthan will launch a big movement, for which the government will be responsible.

Student leader Rahul Chaudhary said that for the last two years we were busy preparing for the elections in colleges. Now, when the time for elections has come, the government, seeing its own political advantage, has decided not to hold student union elections. It will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Today we have blocked JLN road. If the government does not fulfill our demand in time, then a bigger demonstration will be held in the future. We will neither be afraid of police batons nor will we be afraid of going to jail. Till the last breath, the students will continue to fight for power.
