From June 10, roadways can start operating with about 50 percent of its fleet of buses. The brainstorming is going on at the headquarters level regarding this. By late evening, the roadways management can issue guidelines regarding this.

At present, Roadways CMD Rajeshwar Singh is holding a meeting with all the chief managers of the state regarding the operation of roadways buses. All the heads of departments and zonal managers of roadways are also involved in this meeting. In the meeting, discussions are being held regarding the operation of buses, routes and status of buses. It is believed that from June 10, the connectivity of buses operating in the state will be such that each district can be connected to each other. However, at present, operations will be started with only 50 percent buses.

Buses will start operating after one month

Seeing the increasing cases of Corona, the state government had stopped the operation of roadways buses from May 10. Exactly a month after that, now buses will start operating again. However, due to the increase in the cases of Corona, the passenger load had come down significantly. Looking at the operation of 8 May, 1862 buses of roadways made 4,269 trips on 1852 routes on that day. At the same time, 3 lakh 13 thousand 976 passengers traveled in roadways buses on this day. Roadways had earned an income of about 1.43 crores from this.
