BCCI News: The Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024 title under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. Then in the final, the Indian team defeated South Africa by 7 runs. Now the next ICC tournament is the Champions Trophy and after that the final match of the World Test Championship will be played. Team India will be eyeing to win these 2 titles. The Champions Trophy 2025 is to be held on Pakistani soil. But it has not been confirmed yet whether Team India will go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy or not. Now even before this, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has said a big thing.

Shah released a video and congratulated Team India on winning the T20 World Cup. He said-

"I had said in Rajkot that in June 2024 we will win hearts as well as the cup. We will also hoist the flag of India and our captain hoisted the flag. The last five overs had a huge contribution in this victory. I want to thank Suryakumar Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Arshdeep Singh and Hardik Pandya for this contribution. After this victory, the next stop is the WTC final and the Champions Trophy. I am confident that under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, we will become champions in both these tournaments."

Shah dedicated the T20 World Cup victory to Dravid, Rohit, Kohli and Jadeja

Shah said that I want to dedicate the T20 World Cup victory to coach Rahul Dravid, Captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and Ravindra Jadeja. This was our third final in the last one year. In June 2023, we lost in the final of the World Test Championship. After ten wins in November 2023, we won hearts, but could not win the cup.

Champions Trophy to be played in Pakistan and Test Championship final in England

The Champions Trophy tournament will be played in Pakistan in 2025. The first match will be played on 19 February 2025. The final match will be played on 9 March. At the same time, the final of the World Test Championship 2025 will be played in June at Lord's in London.

India won the T-20 World Cup for the second time

India won the T-20 World Cup for the second time this time. Earlier, India won the T-20 World Cup in 2007. 17 years ago when the T-20 World Cup was won, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was the captain of Team India. In 2024, Team India won the T-20 World Cup under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma. At the same time, India last won the One-Day World Cup in 2011.

India has not visited Pakistan after the year 2008

The Pakistan Cricket Board is working hard to organize the Champions Trophy. PCB has also sent the schedule to ICC, according to which the matches of Champions Trophy can be held in Lahore, Karachi and Rawalpindi. Many media reports have already claimed that the decision to send Team India to Pakistan will be taken by the Indian government. The Indian team has not visited Pakistan since 2008. Due to terrorist activities, bilateral series are not being held between the two countries. For this reason, both the teams are now seen playing only in ICC tournaments.
