Tejashwi Yadav: After the caste census in Bihar, the political controversy over 65% reservation for OBCs, SCs, and STs has deepened. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) will organize dharna-demonstrations across the state on Sunday. Former Deputy CM Tejashwi Yadav alleged that the BJP wants to end the reservation and it was not included in Schedule 9. Tejashwi said that RJD will strongly put its side in the Supreme Court and will also hold a massive protest on September 1.

'65% reservation given for OBCs, SCs and STs'

Speaking to the media, Tejashwi Yadav said on the question of reservation, our government had given 65% reservation for OBCs, SCs and STs, we had mentioned to include it under Schedule 9. But it was not put in Schedule 9. The matter is still under consideration.'

'BJP wants to end reservation'

Tejashwi further said, 'We knew that BJP did not want this. It wanted to end reservation, so it did not include it in Schedule 9... We had said that if they (state government) do not present it properly in the court, then the Rashtriya Janata Dal will knock the doors of the Supreme Court and present its side. Now we have gone to the court and the Rashtriya Janata Dal will present its side strongly in front of the court.

Along with this, Tejashwi also announced a dharna-demonstration regarding reservation. He said that we have announced a dharna-demonstration on September 1 regarding our demand. We ourselves will also be present in the party office.
