Indonesia Open: Sunday was a historic day for Indian badminton. This day brought such a moment that every Indian's chest would swell with pride. This opportunity was given by India's star badminton pair Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. This couple did the work abroad which no Indian has been able to do till now. The pair won the men's doubles title of Indonesia Open. The pair defeated the Malaysian pair of Aaron Chia and Wooi Yik Yeoh in straight games in the final. With this, the pair of Satwik and Chirag has become the first Indian pair to win the BWF Super 1000 series title.

Obviously, this moment is heart-warming for India and the couple celebrated it in such a way that everyone would remember it. Prior to this, neither in singles nor in doubles did anyone win the BWF Super1000 Super Series title from India. That's why this moment has come for the first time in the history of Indian badminton. In 2007, Mahendra Singh Dhoni gifted his T-shirt to a child after winning the T20 World Cup. Chirag also took off his T-shirt after this historic victory and threw it towards the spectators sitting in the stands.
