Holiday declared till further orders

According to the order of the District Collector, Section 163 of the Indian Civil Security Code 2023 (Section 144 of CrPC) has been implemented in the city. In view of the current situation, holiday is declared in all government and non-government schools and colleges in all areas by Udaipur Municipal Corporation and Udaipur Development Authority till further orders.

Violence erupted after attack on student

In fact, on Friday, after an altercation between the students, there was an incident of stabbing in which a student was seriously injured. The injured student was admitted to the hospital. On the other hand, as soon as the information about this incident was received, Hindu organizations became angry and started protesting in the city. Incidents of vandalism and arson also took place at many places. Seeing the situation going out of control, Section 144 has been imposed in the city. Internet service in Udaipur has been suspended for 24 hours. Apart from this, the police has also been put on alert mode.

More than a dozen police companies reached Udaipur

Meanwhile, the SP of Udaipur has been directed to maintain peace and law and order in every situation. Apart from this, ensure strict action against those who create disturbance. At the same time, Udaipur has been provided a force of five RAC companies by the Police Headquarters with immediate effect. Apart from this, Additional Superintendent of Police, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Inspector rank officers and a large number of constables have also been provided from neighboring districts. More than a dozen police companies from Jaipur have reached Udaipur and the situation is being monitored closely.
