The distance from Karhal to Saifai is just 5 kms but is Akhilesh Yadav too close to the hearts of the people here? By the way, Mulayam Singh Yadav's family has an old relationship with this place. Mulayam Singh was also a student of Jain Inter College here and later worked as a teacher here.

Karhal is the stronghold of Mulayam family

All the brothers of Mulayam Singh have also studied from this college. This Vidhan Sabha seat is Yadav dominated. There are about 1.5 lakh Yadav voters in this Vidhan Sabha seat with a voter turnout of 3.5 lakhs. From 1993 to 2002, except for 2002, this seat has been occupied by the SP.

Perhaps this is the reason why Akhilesh Yadav has chosen this seat. The adjacent seat is Jaswant Nagar, from where his uncle Shivpal Yadav will be in the electoral fray. Saifai will come in his own assembly seat. Akhilesh Yadav wants to give a message to the voters of western Uttar Pradesh by contesting from here. Karhal is called the border of East and West.

Yogi Adityanath is trying to give the message of contesting from the East and Akhilesh Yadav from the West seat to his voters.

There is no consensus in favor of SP

In the first place, the common people of Karhal are speaking against Akhilesh Yadav. But in another place there is Jain Inter College, where most of the people are in support of Akhilesh and Yadav family. Even students are remembering Akhilesh Yadav for laptops.

Apart from this, Sanjeev Yadav, who is claiming from this seat on behalf of BJP, is claiming to defeat Akhilesh Yadav. Sanjeev Yadav's wife is the chairman of Karhal Municipal Corporation. Sanjeev himself has also been the chairman from here.
