Haryana Assembly Election: Union Home Minister Amit Shah accused the Congress of being anti-backward class (OBC). Amit Shah said that if the Congress comes to power in Haryana, it will take away the reservation of OBCs and give it to Muslims. Addressing the Backward Classes Samman Sammelan in Mahendragarh, Haryana, Amit Shah referred to the Kaka Kalelkar Commission formed in the 1950s to provide reservation to OBCs. BJP will protect the rights of backward classes. Shah said that BJP will form the government with full majority in Haryana. Shah said that when Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, he said that his government is of Dalits, poor and backward classes. This includes increasing the annual income limit for the creamy layer of Other Backward Classes (OBS) from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.
