DRI has taken major action at Jaipur airport on Wednesday. DRI has recovered gold iron from a smuggler's bag. In which about four kilos of gold was hidden.
DRI officials said that the gold smuggler had already come to Jaipur. His bag left behind in Sharjah was reported to have reached Jaipur on Wednesday. After which the bag was checked and gold worth more than two crores was found in it. On Tuesday also, the DRI had arrested three smugglers who had come from Sharjah. Surprisingly, a smuggler swallowed four gold balls, after which he was admitted to the hospital.
Three smugglers had reached Jaipur from Sharjah. One kg of gold has been confiscated from them. The value of the seized gold is said to be Rs 55 lakh. When the DRI investigated, two capsules each were extracted from the private parts of the two smugglers. Whose price is 40 lakh rupees.
On the basis of suspicion, the third smuggler was caught. When nothing was found with him, he was x-rayed. X-ray showed four balls in the stomach of the accused. After this, he was admitted to the hospital and after four days the ball was removed through the operation. The weight of a ball is 58 grams. Along with this, foreign cigarettes worth 17 lakhs have been seized from one passenger and 10 kg of Iranian saffron from another passenger. The cost of which is being said to be Rs.12 lakhs.
