Delhi Election 2025: Counting of votes is underway since 8 am today after polling for 70 seats of the Delhi Assembly. Today will decide whether Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will hold its fort and come back to power, or the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will return to power after nearly three decades. Several exit polls have shown the BJP leading over the AAP, which has been in power in Delhi since 2015. According to exit poll predictions, the BJP will win at least 45 to 55 of the 70 seats in Delhi, while the ruling AAP will suffer major losses. The Congress, which is looking for some gains after getting zero in the last two elections, is likely to get only one seat.Results of last two electionsThe AAP has been in power in Delhi for the last two elections. In the 2013 assembly elections, the largest party BJP got 31 seats, five seats short of the required majority in the 70-member House. AAP and Congress, with 28 and eight seats, later joined hands to form the government, but it lasted only 49 days. President's rule was imposed in the national capital after this.In 2015, the Arvind Kejriwal-led party won 67 out of 70 seats in the assembly elections. BJP managed to win three seats while Congress could not even open its account.In 2020, AAP put up another stellar performance by winning 62 out of 70 assembly seats. BJP improved its tally by winning 8 seats while Congress - which had ruled the national capital between 1998 and 2013 - got no seat.Key Contenders for Delhi Election

- Kalkaji: AAP's chief ministerial candidate Atishi is pitted against former BJP MP from South Delhi Ramesh Bidhuri and Congress' Alka Lamba.
- Malviya Nagar: AAP's Somnath Bharti is pitted against BJP's Satish Upadhyay and Congress' Jitendra Kumar Kochar.
- Patparganj: In this area, which is the stronghold of AAP's veteran leader Manish Sisodia, the party has fielded Awadh Ojha against BJP's Ravinder Singh Negi and Congress' Anil Chaudhary.
