Arvind Kejriwal News: The party is accusing Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of losing weight in Tihar Jail. At the same time, the party is also expressing the possibility of going into coma during sleep due to low sugar level. Tihar Jail administration has rejected all these allegations and has written a letter to the Home Department on the claim of weight loss. Responding to the medical report of Tihar, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sanjay Singh has said that Tihar Jail has admitted that the sugar level has decreased many times. When the sugar level is low, he can go into coma during sleep. The risk of brain stroke increases when the sugar level is low. According to the report of Tihar Jail, Kejriwal has also lost weight.

In fact, the Tihar Jail administration has termed the claims of Aam Aadmi Party leaders regarding Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal losing about 8 and a half kilograms of weight in Tihar Jail as false. The jail superintendent has written a letter to the Home Department of the Delhi government on the ongoing claim regarding CM Kejriwal's weight.

What did the Tihar Jail administration say?

According to the jail superintendent, when Kejriwal came to Tihar for the first time on April 1, 2024, he weighed 65 kg. When Arvind Kejriwal left Tihar on May 10, he weighed 64 kg. When he surrendered in jail on June 2, he weighed 63.5 kg. Currently, he weighs 61.5 (July 14) kg.

The jail superintendent has also said that Arvind Kejriwal's weight may also drop due to eating less food in jail. His health is checked daily under the supervision of senior doctors and officials. Also, as per the court order, his wife Sunita Kejriwal is also present at the time of consultation with the medical board.

'Want to intimidate the jail administration'

It is also written in the letter that some ministers of the Delhi government, a sitting MP and Aam Aadmi Party MLAs have made baseless allegations through social media posts. This is an attempt to spread false information and confuse the public with the intention of intimidating the jail administration. Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that since his arrest on March 21 in the excise case, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's weight has decreased by 8.5 kg. Also, his sugar level has gone below 50 more than 5 times, in such a situation Arvind Kejriwal's life is in danger and he can go into coma while sleeping.
