Rajasthan News: Rajasthan minister Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore on Monday slammed police officials for allegedly stripping and beating a serving Indian Army soldier at Shipra Path police station. After the incident came to light, a police sub-inspector and three constables were removed from the police station and sent to the police line and an inquiry was ordered. Sainik Welfare Minister Rathore, who has also served in the Army, reached the police station and raised objections to the matter and slammed the officers present there.

Rathore told reporters, "A serving soldier was stripped and beaten with sticks by some policemen and then he was made to sit among the people and some policemen asked him to repeat that the police is the 'baap' of the Indian Army." He said, "This is very sad and it shows the disgusting mentality of those two-three people who did this."

Five policemen beat up soldier

The minister said that the soldier was beaten badly and this will not be tolerated. He said, "The medical report says that people beat him up. An Indian Army Jawan was caught and beaten by five policemen, that too without any law and without any reason, so action against those breaking the law in the police department is necessary." The minister said that he has spoken to the Director General of Police in this regard and he has assured action against the culprit.

The Jawan was found in an illegal hookah bar

Director General of Police UR Sahu said that the police had raided an illegal hookah bar last night and caught some people, including this Jawan. Sahu said, "The Jaipur Police Commissioner has sent a police sub-inspector and three constables to the police line and ordered an inquiry."
