Hathras Stampede: After 121 people were killed in a stampede during a satsang held recently in Hathras district of Uttar Pradesh, the series of political visits to the spot is increasing. After Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and several ministers visited the spot, Congress leader and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi is also planning to visit Hathras.

Congress General Secretary Venugopal said that Rahul Gandhi will meet the affected people in Hathras and know their pain. Expressing grief over the accident in Hathras, Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal said, "It was an unfortunate incident. The Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha (Rahul Gandhi) is planning to visit Hathras. Soon he will go there and talk to the affected people." Priyanka asked - who is responsible for the incident?

At the same time, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also expressed grief over the Hathras incident and also asked who is responsible for this tragic incident. Priyanka, while talking about strict action on the accident, said that instead of whitewashing, it is the responsibility of the government to take action and prepare a plan to prevent such accidents, but this is not being done.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, expressing the possibility of a conspiracy in the tragic stampede incident in Sikandrarao yesterday, Wednesday, announced a judicial inquiry into it. CM Yogi said that a judicial inquiry will be conducted under the leadership of a retired High Court judge in the case of the death of 121 people in the stampede after the satsang of Narayan Sakar Vishwa Hari Bhole Baba on Tuesday. The CM said that its notification will be issued soon.

Formation of judicial inquiry commission

On the announcement of the CM and the instructions of Governor Anandi Patel, the state government yesterday constituted a 3-member judicial inquiry commission to investigate the accident. The inquiry commission will be headed by Justice (retired) Brajesh Kumar Srivastava of Allahabad High Court. While the other 2 members of the commission include former Indian Administrative Service officer Hemant Rao and former Indian Police Service officer Bhavesh Kumar Singh. This commission will have to complete its investigation in 2 months.

Earlier, 121 people died in a stampede during Bhole Baba's satsang program in Sikandrarao of the district last Tuesday. Immediately after the accident, Chief Minister Yogi had immediately sent a team of 3 ministers and the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police to Hathras. Along with this, a committee of Additional Director General of Police of Agra Zone and Divisional Commissioner of Aligarh was formed to investigate the incident and instructions were given to submit the report within 24 hours.
