WFI Suspension: Controversy was being seen after Sanjay Singh became the President of Wrestling Association of India. After this, wrestler Sakshi Malik retired from wrestling and Bajrang Punia returned his Padma Shri. After this the Sports Ministry came into action. The Sports Ministry has suspended the newly elected body of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI). Now Sanjay Singh has given a statement on this matter. Giving a statement, Sanjay Singh said, when the new federation was formed, he (Brijbhushan Singh) was sent away and today he told that he has retired from wrestling.

Sanjay Singh said- We are not relatives

Sanjay Singh said that Sakshi Malik has retired. Both have retired. Therefore now the federation should be allowed to run peacefully. He (Brijbhushan Singh) and I belong to different communities. How can we be relatives? When he was the President of the Federation, I was the Joint Secretary. Yes, there was a bond and friendship between us at that time. Let us tell you that on this matter Brij Bhushan Singh had said that I have nothing to do with the wrestling association. Sanjay Singh is not my relative. He gave this statement after meeting BJP national president JP Nadda.

Brijbhushan Singh also gave statement

He said that my role in the wrestling association has ended. I have worked for the wrestling association for 12 years. I have retired from the wrestling association and now I have nothing to do with the association. Brij Bhushan Singh said that I myself have got the dominance posters put up outside my house removed. The poster reeked of dominant arrogance. I am busy preparing for the Lok Sabha elections. The decisions that have to be taken regarding the wrestling association will now be taken only by the selected people. Now I have nothing to do with whether the wrestling association goes to court or not.
