Jharkhand Elections 2024: Elections are going to be held in two phases on 13 and 20 November for 81 assembly seats of Jharkhand. For this election, BJP has released the first list of 66 candidates, which includes the name of Sita Soren, sister-in-law of Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren. Sita Soren recently joined BJP and has been made a candidate from Jamtara assembly seat.

Sita Soren said on this occasion, "The party has expressed confidence in me. I will work hard and win with an absolute majority. The current government has only promoted corruption and crime in the state. We will bring change."

It is worth noting that Sita Soren had decided to join BJP before the Lok Sabha elections 2024 and was made a candidate from Dumka seat. However, she lost in the stronghold of her father-in-law Shibu Soren. Now BJP has again expressed confidence in her in the assembly elections.

Apart from this, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren, who joined BJP, has got a ticket from Saraikela seat, while state president Babulal Marandi will contest from Dhanwar. Other candidates include Lobin Hembrom from Borio, Geeta Balmuchu from Chaibasa, Geeta Koda from Jagannathpur and Meera Munda from Potka.

In view of these elections, BJP has given tickets to influential leaders from different areas to strengthen its strategy, so that they can get strength in the electoral field.
