Karanpur Election: In Rajasthan, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has failed in the first examination. BJP has suffered a major setback in the Karanpur assembly elections. Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Kunnar has defeated BJP candidate and minister Surendra Singh TT by 12570 votes. To hoist the flag of victory on Karanpur seat, BJP had included Surendra Singh in the Bhajanlal Sharma cabinet by making him a minister before becoming an MLA, but it did not work. Congress candidate Rupinder Singh got the benefit of sympathy for his father's demise, which overshadowed the BJP minister's stake. The election on this seat was canceled after the death of Gurmeet Kunnar, who was the Congress candidate from Karanpur seat of Sri Ganganagar. The Election Commission later announced that voting for Karanpur seat will be held on January 5. While Congress made Gurmeet Kunnar's son Rupinder Singh Kunnar its candidate, BJP expressed confidence in its previous candidate Surendra Singh TT. When the BJP government was formed under the leadership of Bhajanlal Sharma and the cabinet was formed, a move was made to make party candidate Surendra Singh TT the Minister of State (Independent Charge) so that the party could get political benefits in the elections.Congress had raised questions on making Surendra Singh a minister.Even before voting and elections, BJP made a move to make Surendra Singh TT a minister. Congress had criticized the appointment of TT as a minister. Former CM Ashok Gehlot had written on 'X', 'Despite the code of conduct being effective for the voting to be held on January 5 in Karanpur, making the BJP candidate a minister from there is a clear violation of the code of conduct and an attempt to influence the voters there. Gehlot said that the Election Commission should take cognizance of this and take immediate action. He wrote that taking such unconstitutional steps is unfortunate in a democracy.Rajasthan State President of Congress Govind Singh Dotasara had raised this matter before the Election Commission. He had said that an attempt has been made to woo voters by administering the oath of office to Surendra Singh as a minister. BJP neither believes in the Constitution nor in the Election Commission. In fact, this was the first case in the country when a candidate was made a minister even before voting and winning the election.According to the Constitution, a minister can take oath of office without being a member of the Legislative Assembly, but it is necessary to become a member of either the Legislative Assembly or the Legislative Council within six months. There is also a provision of Legislative Council in six states of the country. Due to this, BJP made a move to make party candidate Surendra Singh TT, contesting from Karanpur seat of Rajasthan, a minister in Bhajanlal Sharma's government so that it can get political benefits in the elections. After becoming minister, Surendra Pal Singh was very confident about his victory.Surendra Singh TT had claimed victorySurendra Singh TT had said that the voters of Shrikaranpur are very intelligent, I will definitely win the elections. Also said that the party has honored the Sikh community through me. BJP takes all 36 communities along. Our society is also in this. Even during the election campaign, BJP leaders had tried to give the message that if Surendra Singh wins TT, he will be a minister along with being an MLA, while Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Kunnar will remain only an MLA. Despite this, the voters of Karanpur were inclined towards Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Kunnar. It is believed that he benefited from the sympathy of his father Gurmeet Singh Kunnar's demise. The victory of Congress on Karanpur seat has boosted the morale of the party leaders and from Govind Singh Dotasara to Ashok Gehlot congratulated Rupinder Singh on the victory and targeted BJP.Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot congratulated the Congress candidate on his victory. While posting on social media, he said that hearty congratulations and best wishes to Congress candidate Rupinder Singh Kunnar for his victory in Srikaranpur. This victory itself. Gurmeet Singh is dedicated to the public service works of Kunnar. The people of Srikaranpur have defeated the pride of the Bharatiya Janata Party.Surendra Singh will have to leave the post of ministerAfter becoming minister, Surendra Pal Singh has six months to be elected as MLA. On 15 December, BJP government was formed in Rajasthan under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and on 30 December he expanded the formation of his cabinet. During this time, Surendra Singh TT, contesting from Karanpur seat, was also sworn in as minister. Then Surendra Pal Singh TT was made the Minister of State (Independent Charge) in the Bhajan Lal government, but now after losing the election, he may have to resign from the post of minister. The reason for this is that Surendra Singh TT is not a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly and according to the Constitution, it is necessary to become an MLA within six months. There is no system of Legislative Council in Rajasthan. Due to this he may have to resign from his ministerial post. However, if the minister does not resign from the post, then he will have to become MLA from some other seat within six months, for which there is no hope at present.
